First Sucker

Leah had her first sucker this weekend. It was a hit!

"Mmmm, want a bite, Grover?"
"Oops!"

Another Sucker

Leah got her haircut on Monday, and got another sucker. She really, really liked the grape flavor. She kept saying, "mmmm, mmmmm, Mama, mmmmm"

Playdate!

Lucas and Leah had coordinating jammies.
Leah was really excited for Lukey to come over. She would look at his pictures on his blog and say, "baby, baby, baby!". She was a little shy when he arrived. She warmed up to him, and enjoyed showing him toys. She shared most of her toys, but not her favorites. I asked her to share a Sesame Street stuffed animal, and she looked at them all carefully, then gave him Abby (her least favorite).
I think they need more playdates!

Silly!

Leah has learned how to close her eyes. She really doesn't like to do this, though. She tries to close them almost all the way, but still open a sliver, so she can still see. Here she is pretending to be her baby doll.

Awww!

Island Time

Leah has been on island time since returning from vacation. I've had to wake her up every morning!

More Cozumel

We're missing you, Cozumel!

Cozumel

We had an amazing time in Cozumel! Leah is such an expert traveler. She did great on the planes (she has now been on 10 planes!), and loved the vacation. I don't care how cheesy it sounds, but I strongly believe vacations are an investment in our family! We all loved spending some quality time together.

More Fun Pictures!

La Casa de Mission

Chris and I went to this restaurant 7 years ago! We all enjoyed some yummy Mexican food. 7 years ago there were lions in the back of the restaurant, but not anymore. The staff said they were taken off the island before the last huricane, but TripAdvisor told me they mauled a kid. Yikes.

Pool Fun

Leah loved the pool. She even learned to say "pool" during the trip. The resort had 2 pools. In the early afternoon we swam at the pool by the beach. In the late afternoon we swam at the pool closest to the resort. There was a large Acapulco deck that Leah really enjoyed. Sassy loves to swim.
She fell off the first step in the pool twice, going completely underwater. Both times she cried for less than a minute, and wanted to go right back in the water. We can't wait for our neighborhood pool to open!

Beach Bum!

Every morning we went down to the beach after breakfast. Leah was happy as long as she wasn't in the sand.

Ocean

In North Carolina, Leah loved the ocean. She would run right into the waves. In Cozumel, she hated the sand. She appreciated the beauty of it, and would sit in the beach chairs and look out at the ocean. But she wanted no part of being in the sand. The minute you put her in the sand, she would get on her tip toes and frantically try to get out of it. My mom said I was the same way when we went to Cancun when I was 2. Because of the sand, she wanted no part of the ocean, either. Oh well.
