On the way down to Virginia Beach, we stopped at a hotel for the night. Juliet was so excited by the pool and kept trying to walk through the glass doors to get into the pool. Leah was very reluctant to even go to the pool. Once we talked her into it, she refused to leave the stairs.
Over the course of the trip, Leah's confidence soared! By the end of the trip, she wanted to be on her noodle or in her "donut" float without any help. She loved practicing her floating, kicking, and bubble blowing. She is so ready to learn to swim! I am so thankful that we have a summer full of swim lessons and time to practice at our neighborhood pool!
Juliet also liked the pool. What she liked best was running dangerously close to the edge. She liked to go in the pool, too, but only for short time periods or if you held her the specific way she was trying to communicate with her "naaas! NAAS!" I think this was because pool time was right before her nap time, and she was pretty tired by this time!
