Most days, Leah rides her bike a head of us. She always likes to be the first to alert us to the ducks. So she does some interpretive dancing/interesting sign language to let us know the ducks are ready to be fed. This usually involves flapping her hands, waddling like a duck, and sometimes opening and closing her mouth.
This little chickadee wants nothing to do with feeding the ducks unless it means that she gets to just eat bread. Very, very rarely will she share or offer any to the ducks.
Leah likes to throw the bread out it crazy ways. She loves to make happy faces for the ducks out of bread crumbs so they see the bread and know how much she loves them. And, that they make her happy. It sounds super cute, but most nights it is a PITA to get her to even want to go on a walk. She often gives us her best 15 year old attitude mixed with whines of "A walk?! Again?! I don't want to go on a walk." We try to remind her to be a "bucketfiller" and remember that the rest of us really like walks, but it really only works about 50% of the time. Either way, we walk as often as we can, often with a 5 year old who rides her bike as slowly as possible as a silent protest. :)
