Well, we did a year of travel soccer. Juliet, for the most part, enjoyed it. But, to us, it seemed clear that she liked it the least of all her activities. Her team wasn't very good--I'm not sure they won ONE game that Juliet played in, and probably no more than 3 total for the entire year. But, she had fun, learned a lot, and definitely grew a lot as a player.
We were kinda dreading the tournament, but we actually had a lot of fun! The kids loved the bounce houses and Chris and I were obsessed with a pizza bagel at one of the food trucks there. Most parents had coolers of drinks and it was low key fun.
Cutest soccer player of all times!
Chris did his best to be a soccer dad. He reviewed plays with her, tried to reinforce the "point" of things, and encouraged Juliet to practice with him. He made it a point to be at all the practices possible. I think we both surprised ourselves by how much we cheered and "encouraged" Juliet from the sidelines during games.
Juliet ended the soccer season playing HARD, running HARD, and showing us determination that we weren't sure she had in her last few games. We were so proud of her!
