Miss Juliet was so excited to meet her baby brother. She lobbied HARD to get to be the first (kid) to hold him (and she was). She loves him so. She is a little rough, at times, and needs to be reminded to not talk *quite* so loudly when she is right by his ear, and not to kiss him on the lips, or shake his hands wildly. When she is overtired she still worries that *maybe* Teddy ruined her life. When she is calm again, she admits that he hasn't at all. But, she's insistent that Teddy NOT come to her birthday party because she doesn't want any attention diverted from her and her special day. However, she DOES want me to bring him up to school so she can show him off to all her friends. She's got a little bit of a bug, currently, and isn't able to hold him or kiss him. She's worried out loud several times that he was going to forget all about her since she has to keep her distance for the day. She also worries that she is going to grow up too fast and miss out on Teddy's childhood. She also loves to tell him about all the things they will do together one day.
Miss Leah was SO weary about Teddy joining our family. She fretted and fretted in the weeks leading up to his birth. She took ONE LOOK at him and fell completely, head over heels in love with the boy. She is the BEST helper. She has been so good natured and helpful with helping Chris and I. She says, "I like being independent and helping you guys!". She's become my right hand girl. She loves to hold Teddy and she is the ONLY person he readily accepts a pacifier from. She loves to comment that they have the same hair. For the longest time Leah has insisted she doesn't want biological kids, or maybe even no kids at all. She says now that she is rethinking that. I catch her talking to Teddy all the time. She loves when he opens his eyes. She tells him how smart and handsome he is. She loves to be right by him and I hope that never changes.
We let the girls play hooky to get their pictures taken with Teddy. I love how they turned out!
