Well, I'm a little late with the Back to School pictures. Whoops! It's been crazy. Juliet was so excited about first grade. All summer long I was teasing her, telling her she had to stay in Kindergarten, or could go to first grade, but had to stay in first grade forever. She was so ready! She insisted on bringing an apple to her teacher on the first day.
Both kids were pretty excited about their classes. Both got great teachers. Leah got a ton of friends in her class. Juliet didn't get as many, but has made friends quickly. Leah was so sad I wouldn't totally let her fill out her board this year. She took the middle portion, and lobbied hard to do the entire thing next year. She's growing way too fast!
Look at these two! In their pretty dresses that they rarely wear anymore. I remember when Leah had a full on, fall to the ground tantrum, when I wouldn't let her wear a summer "twirly dress" one winter day when she was in preschool. She still swears up and down she likes dresses and wants me to buy them, but seems to pick out non-dresses most days. I think dresses are classic and think they make them stand out more than dressing like every other rag-a-muffin kid out there. But I agree that kids should wear what makes them feel comfortable and happy, so here we are.
They both got new backpacks this year. Juliet has decided that she loves space and wants to be in Nasa when she grows up. I support this fully. Leah picked out a palm tree print because she loves the beach.
Looking so old, Miss Leah Bean!
At the bus stop. 1 year ago I had just found out I was pregnant.
After school we went to lunch at Busch's like last year, only this year I had a baby! I also talked Chris out of moving to Dallas, so there's that!
