The Wild Things of Cozumel

 Crane. Lovely.
A hermit crab. I like taking pictures of them for practice. My girls refuse to hold still for as long as it takes me to get the perfect focus. I was trying to give Leah some science lessons about animals, but she wasn't at all interested.
An iguana. I didn't have my long range lens, so it's not too good.
Love this picture of Chris looking for shells and star fish for us. He is perfect. One day we were drinking on the beach laughing about all the cheesy things people post about their loved ones on Valentines Day. I was making up silly, cliche "status updates" about him, telling him that I was going to post them and see how other people responded. I would never do it, but they are all true. :)

Chris and Leah found 2 star fish one day, but my camera battery had died. We also found tons of snails, including some really big ones. I never got a picture though.

So proud of our Leah Bean! She has watched other people hold these animals for the past 3 years. She has never been brave enough to do it, though. Which was sad, because you could tell that she *wanted* to, but wouldn't. This year, she was all about it. She was so proud of herself afterward! We loved that the bird just played dead. The monkey was pretty cute, too, though!  We even spent the $30 to get a disk of the pictures because the pictures were just so ding darn cute and I want her to remember to do the things she wants to do, and to not be afraid.
