Valentine Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. We spent lots of time together as a family, exchanged some gifts, ate some yummy Thai food, and celebrated by going to....wait for it....SESAME LIVE!

Leah loved, loved, loved Sesame. For the first 10 minutes she was in her usual Sesame trance. But after that she began calling out, "hi, Grover!" and clapping and dancing along with the music.

We were a little disappointed that Grover wasn't a major player in the performance, but were relieved that Abby only had a small part. Leah hates Abby. She'll hand you the remote to get rid of Abby when she comes on TV.
Auntie Nicole really hooked us up! We sat in a suite and had access to lots of yummy snacks. Thank you, Auntie!

What a wonderful weekend! We are now looking forward to vacation. Cozumel here we come!

More Sesame

Getting Excited...

We talked for a week about how Leah was going to Sesame Street. It seemed like she started to understand on Saturday. She carried around Ernie and Grover all day and kept kissing them and hugging them.

Fancy

Chris and I went to the annual WCC fundraiser. Leah did a great job with Auntie Renee. She enjoyed watching Sesame Street and cuddling with Auntie. She was asleep by the time we got home. The best part about the fundraiser is the beads...I took extras from anywhere I could find them for Sass.

Daredevil...

Leah loves her horsie. Lately she has got quite daring. She wanted to stand up on the horse by herself. It's not a good picture because I was spotting her. She was very proud of herself, as you can see. I see gymnastic lessons in her future!

Stuffed Friends

Leah really loves her stuffed animals. Addy (the panda) has been a favorite for a long time now, but the white kitty has recently emerged as the favorite of the kitties. Here she is snuggling with them and trying to share her banana bread with kitty.

Balloon!

After the snow storm, we went to Holiday Market to get some odds and ends. Leah got a balloon. It provided one day of fun before it lost all of its air (thanks to Leah sitting on it).

Snow Day!

We love snow days! Yesterday we watched a movie together as a family. Today we're snowed in, so more family time! We love snow days!

Budding Artist

Leah wasn't too intested in the crayons at first. She just wanted to collect them all in her hands. I drew several things on the pad to inspire Leah. When I drew a kitty she got very excited. She kept pointing to it saying, "hi, kitty, hi!". I drew more and she got even more excited. She really liked it when I gave the kitty a body.

Leah enjoyed drawing, too. She especially liked drawing with reds, pinks, and purples.

Little Mama

I love watching Leah with her baby. I know she'll be an excellent big sister one day. She is very gentle and loves to give her baby hugs and kisses. Baby is often hot, so we have to take off her shirt. I bought the baby a new dress on Etsy, but Leah screams at the idea of having baby wear the dress.

Leah loves to give Baby lots of hugs and kisses. She'll say, "hi, baby" over and over while she cuddles Baby.

This is just how Lili is carried around. Lili found it difficult to do things one handed, too, so she put the baby to bed.

Bedtime Sillyness

Why sleep when you can play?

Good Morning!

Lili is so silly when she wakes up. She likes to cuddle for 5 minutes, then be read to, then watch Play with Me Sesame. She doesn't like getting her picture taken.
