January 2020

Look at Me-- up to this year!

Look at Teddy. He has to be pretty talked into wearing these slippers, but I'm so happy when he does!

Final playdate with Momoka.

 Hello!?
This month Leah came back to Workman. I was thrilled to get 2 notes from EACH GIRL on her first day back.
We also went to Key Largo! C's boss invited us down for a long weekend. The bummer was I had to fly down with the kids by myself (Chris was already there), but the positives far outweighed that small negative. In general, the kids did great on the flight (like they always do!). A few hiccups trying to take them all to the bathroom and things like that. But the girls did an awesome job of helping me and also helping keep Teddy entertained during the flight.
Teddy was so happy to see the water!

There was a nature center, there. We liked seeing the animals.
 So. many. yachts!

We rode around in a golf cart. Teddy loved this! We were very safe.

Teddy does this great totally straight fall forward. He does it even on the carpet. It's funny to see.
Our nature girls collecting jellyfish and crabs!

Teddy was so sad to leave!
The next week Juliet was Star of the Week! She brought in Teddy for Show and Tell!
Teddy found "Steve", Juliet's old baby boy. She loved him so. Teddy and Steve had a moment.

 Dance costumes arrived!

 Juliet and Anna
A fun Candyland Activity at the PARC.

Washington DC

This year we went to Washington DC for Christmas with my side of the family. Unfortunately, Chris was swamped with work, so he wasn't able to come. Nicole graciously offered to drive with me (though I think she may have had some regrets after realizing the kids watch DVDs without headphones!). We missed Daddy, but had fun.

We rode the metro. Teddy was so excited. He loves trains.
 Cousins reunited!

We went to the National Portrait Gallery. Here were are in front of Theodore Roosevelt.
 And Obama. I miss him.

 And Michelle.  Miss her, too.
Later that night we all went out to dinner. Turns out Teddy doesn't like sitting around in a crowded restaurant. We went back to the hotel and had blueberries, chocolate milk, and Pirates Booty delivered. He was so much happier. The girls had a sleepover with their cousins.
 Christmas at Aunt Chantal's!

We were all having fun until Juliet said, "I don't feel good". She had a fever. We left early and headed back to the hotel.
Teddy showed sympathy to Juliet's feelings.
The next day we left. Juliet still didn't feel too hot. She ended up laying down and sleeping for most of the ride home. Poor girl.
And then we were reunited with Daddy. And everyone was happy.

Christmas Morning!

On Christmas Eve, they opened their presents from each other. One of my favorite traditions! Leah and Juliet take picking out their presents from each other very seriously. I love that they want to pick nice, meaningful gifts for each other.
Annual Christmas morning shot on the stairs. Teddy had no idea what was coming!

 WHOA! Santa came!

A new trampoline! Our old one broke, and this toy was easily the most played with toy in the house. We were so happy to get a new one!

Leah LOVES Keeper of the Lost City books!

 Teddy LOVES Mickey!
