Bubble Blowing Fun

Leah loves bubbles. She prefers to be the bubble chaser/popper, but made an exception this week and allowed me to be the bubble chaser/photographer. Leah can blow bubbles, but more often than not somehow manages to get her lips "stuck" in the wand. I love, love, love the center shot. I think it captures her "technique" perfectly. :)

Bath Art

We got some bath crayons from Target; they were an instant hit. Lili immediately asked me to draw: Momo (Elmo), Grober (Grover), and Duck Shoes (a duck wearing shoes--she started asking me to draw this earlier this week-I thought it was a strange request, but she gets really excited after you draw it).

Big Girl Cup

My baby is growing up too fast. Sniff sniff.

Fireworks

Leah got to stay up to 11pm on Saturday to see the fireworks. She really liked them! She kept yelling, "BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!" When there was a lag between fireworks, Leah would ask, "where'd they go?" Then, when she saw one, she'd answer, "Here they are!"

Leah was very excited that Auntie Renee brought Cooper!

Liberty Fest

We went to the Liberty Fest this weekend with Baby Luke and family. Leah really enjoyed the Sprinkler Park! There was a petting zoo at the Fest. Leah really liked the baby tigers! She is feeling pretty sad that we didn't pay the $20 for her to pet it.

Leah would run into the water, then scream and run away. She was pretty insistent that I partake in the water fun. I ended up soaked.

Happy Last Day!

Yay! It's summer vacation! We're looking forward to staying up late, sleeping in, going to the pool, bumming around the mall, and playing outside!

Isn't the tutu cute? A parent from my class gave it to me on the last day!

New Car

Leah used to have a pink car. It was total junk. We decided to get her a new car--it's a Beetle power wheels! Happy early Birthday, Sassy! Love, Mama, Dada, Grandma, and Grandpa!

Lucia's First Birthday!

Aunt Chantal, Uncle Jesus, and cousin Lucia were in town for Lucia's first birthday. Lucia had a birthday party on Friday. We can't believe how big Lucia has got!

Lili got a cupcake at the party, she loved it! She ate it very carefully, and didn't like getting frosting on her hands. The next day we went back to Aunt Renee's. The second we got in the door, she started looking all around asking, "cake? cake?"

More Party

Auntie Renee gave Sassy a Rock and Roll Elmo that I bought for Trevor 10 years ago. Leah LOVED it and held it protectively the entire night. She enjoyed sharing it with Lucia, but made it clear that Elmo was coming home with us. Uncle Jim was ready to pass off the toy...I have no idea why, since hearing "Elmo loves rock and roll....rock the house!" at 5:30 in the morning isn't annoying at all!

When all 5 sisters get together, you've got to take a picture! Cooper wanted to get in a photo, too.

Grandma

Our nanny is getting married, and needed a week and a half off, so Grandma L flew in to take care of Lili for the week. We've had a very busy week!

Here have been some highlights :

1. lots of shopping!

2. grandma shares her ice cream!

3. lots of people to see!

4. getting to see cousin Lucia!

5. going to Lili's first museum--The Holocaust Memorial in Farmington Hills

6. being completely off schedule-- like waking up, ready to party, at 3:30 am

Swim Fun

I got the new suit from Janie and Jack to replace the Gap one that broke--that is the second Gap suit that was ruined within 2 wearings...never again.

Lili has really been enjoying the warm weather. She loves to go outside and play with the hose, birdseed, and the sand and water table. She usually doesn't want to come in the house, but the promise of ice cream helps her come in with ease!
