Outside

Leah was having fun playing outside this weekend. She wanted me to "take-a a pich". This is what we got.

Outside

Movin' On Up

I love this picture of Leah and "MoMo". She loves him sooooo much!

We have begun the daunting process of moving Leah's room. At 2 years old, she and her plethora of Sesame Street paraphernalia, clothes, and hair bows has started to outgrow her nursery. We've started converting Daddy's Office/junk room to Sassy's room. We've (meaning Chris) already unloaded 2 desks from the room. We have one desk remaining and still have some assorted junk we need to deal with. Last weekend we got Sassy's big girl quilt from Pottery Barn. It is white with cute, crafty flowers. We got some coordinating curtains, too. Her new room is close to twice as big as her old room, so I think she's going to like it a lot more. I also think she is going to love her very own queen sized bed since she sleeps like an acrobat.
Sassy had a lot of fun playing with the desk as Daddy was moving it.

Saturday Morning

Isn't funny how one day you are wearning flannel pajamas and two days later you are wearing short johns to bed? The weather this month has been crazy. Last Saturday morning Sassy had fun with the animals. She gave them all treats (even Annie!) and put Ruggie to bed several times. She even said, "cuddle with Roo-Roo" (cuddling is usually reserved for Da Mama). I thought my little bed headed pixie looked mighty cute having fun with the animals.

Friends

Leah had a play date with her friend Lukey on Monday. Lukey loved the sand and water table. I'm glad we got the chance for an outdoor playdate, because the weather since this day has been awful. Thanks for playing, Lukey!

Plymouth Orchards

Even though Leah always claims she wants to "petta da pig", she never follows through. Instead of paying $14 for Dominos Farms, we thought we would take her to the *free* orchard last weekend. It ended up being way too muddy for anyone to enjoy themselves. We stayed about 5 minutes, and left with wet, smelly feet. Oh well, another weekend.

I do really like this picture of Leah and Ernie, though. He looks very proper.

Play-Doh

Leah got an Elmo Play-Doh machine from TJ Maxx after Daddy's softball game. She played with the play-doh for HOURS last weekend. Chris and I had fun making Sesame Street characters for Leah. I was pretty impressed with my Grover.

Belated Birthday Cupcake

We forgot to get Leah a cupcake for her actual birthday, so we let her pick up a cupcake at Holiday Market the next week. Leah carefully perused the assortment of cupcakes before settling on a red velvet cupcake. She enjoyed the frosting most of all. Like Mama, like daughter!

"I play-a da drums!"

Leah has gotten really into Daddy's drums. Sometimes Leah stands at the top of the basement steps and yells, "Dada, play-a da drums!" They go downstairs and play together. It's a nice Daddy-Daughter bonding time for them. I think the pictures are precious.

Cheering On Dada

Whew! The back to school routine is always rough. You have 2 plus months of free time, then all of the sudden you are working a full time job plus. The first month of school kicks my booty every year, even though every year I think to myself, "I've done this for 8 years now, so it won't be so bad this year". This year I am doing half time (thank you, Chris!), but at a new grade level (kindergarten). I have really been enjoying coming home by 12:30 each day and spending my afternoons with Sassy.

We took time during the first week back to attend one of Daddy's softball games. We had fun cheering him on. We even saw him hit a home run! Then we went to TJ Maxx. The day was a success.
