We began potty training on the 4th of July. We said that we were going to declare our independence from diapers. On the first day, you had 2 small accidents. With lots of coaching and tears, you finally went pee pee on the potty around 4:00 pm. The next day you went pee pee on the potty twice, and had no accidents. You are a rule follower, and understand that it is "against the rules" to pee or poop in your underwear. You tell me that you are "staying dry". You can keep in your pee for several hours (6 or more). However, you are a total tart when it comes to actually using the potty. You don't usually tell me you need to use the potty. Instead you stand and anxiously call, "MOMMY!" You sit on it anywhere from 30-60 minutes before you do anything. You've needed cheering and coaching to pee. When your body finally allows you to pee you scream loudly and cry anxiously. Even though you've been rewarded greatly for using the potty, you still fight the urge to pee. Today was the first day you tried to poop on the potty. You didn't quite make it. Today is the third day, second no (pee) accident day. We are all very tired. We have our fingers crossed that it will get easier in the coming days. We know you can do it!
