Beginning of Summer

This was the summer of wildlife. With no where to go due to quarantine and safety, we spent a lot of time around our neighborhood. We learned that the creek a few doors down had frogs and caught them almost every day for a few weeks there. Teddy LOVES frogs and always wanted to hold them.

I bought the girls and I matching masks and was freaking SURE I was wasting my money because there was no reason for them to ever really need them. A few months later and we have like 20 masks and there doesn't seem to be an ending to wearing them any time soon.
The girls also spent a lot of time in the woods making forts and using their imagination.

This was our favorite frog. We named him Frank and would catch him often (of course we would catch and release). One day we brought him back for a bit to play in the kiddie pool with Teddy and he hopped off. We looked everywhere and we so sad that we couldn't find him. We hope he found his way back to the creek.

Leah was a frog catching expert. This girl LOVES animals!

Chris did some excellent things with his facial hair during this time.

The "last" day of school was so weird and anti-climatic. We always have full summers with various camps, classes, vacations, and fun plans with friends and family. This year was SO DIFFERENT. It was just like, NOTHING. The days didn't really change much except for not having to do an hour or two of school. I hope next summer is much more normal.

MORE FROGS!
Juliet never got her Escape Room birthday party, so we rented a bounce house and cotton candy machine from one of C's friends. We had Luke and Anna over. Juliet enjoyed her celebration, though she reminds us regularly that it wasn't really a party and she still gets a friend party next year.
