Leah's Chore Chart

We've been using a Chore Chart for Leah for probably a year now. I love it. Each chore she does is worth 10 cents. Depending on the state of our house or the nature of the chore, she earns between 1-6 chores. The cost of the item she is broken into chores (100 chores for something that cost $10, 70 for something that cost $7). She always has something she is working for. Currently she is working toward a Frozen Ice Wand that also sings part of "Let it Go". On deck, she has the book Matilda. Her last chore earned her a Doc McStuffins book.

I feel like it's giving her a good work ethic. She understands that toys/books aren't just handed to her, but earned. She has become and EXPERT cleaner. She can clean I room that I deem trashed in under 10 minutes. She always encourages Juliet to help her, but Juliet rarely participates. She is so stinking proud of herself when she earns her prize. She will haughtily tell Juliet "You didn't earn this! This isn't for you!"
