In first grade, Leah auditioned for a solo at for one of the music programs. She didn't get it, and it was hard for her. Our school does a great job of creating several speaking, acting, and instrumental parts, and she's always had at least one of those in that program and the programs since. This year, she tried out again, and got one of two solos! She was so excited, and I was so, so proud of her. I joke that I'm a GREAT singer, but the reality is that I'm not at all. Leah has a beautiful voice and is such a presence on stage. We were so proud of her!
The next day she came down with strep and leg pain, though, so we were back to the real world pretty quick. Go Leah!
