Petoskey!

Last year, Leah learned all about Michigan as part of the 3rd grade curriculum. A culminating project was for each kid to write an essay about their favorite Michigan memories. Leah was so disappointed that she'd never been "Up North" or spent time at a Great Lake (apparently Lake Michigan doesn't count if you are in Chicago) like so many of her friends. So, we added a trip Up North to our summer bucket list.
It was so pretty up there. We spent 2 days at the beach in Petoskey. The first day the water was cloudy and it was pretty windy. The second day it was hot and perfect beach weather. That day we found a TON of Petoskey Stones.

 I just love these pictures!

I love when they twin in bathing suits!

We didn't do much except play on the beach, but that was fine with us! We had so much we booked a longer trip (at a better hotel) this summer!
